SUPRO Annual General Meeting 2018

Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2018 of SUPRO was held on March 31, 2019, at SUPRO Secretariat, Shyamoli, Dhaka. Chairperson of SUPRO S.M. Harun Or Rashid Lal presided over the AGM and General Secretary of SUPRO, M A Quader welcomed all members. Resolution of last meeting was presented and approved in the AGM. Annual Program Report 2018 and Audit Report 2018 was also approved.
Finally, the last agenda was to elect new Executive Board (EB). The new EB board was formed through election in the AGM. The newly elected EB Board is comprised of the honorable national council members below:

National Dialogue “Progressive taxation to reduce inequality”

‘SUPRO’ organized a National Dialogue on 23rd December, 2018 in CIRDAP auditorium on Progressive taxation to reduce inequality. Dr. Atiur Rahman, Former Governor of Bangladesh Bank was present as chief guest. Mr. SM Monjur Rashid, Policy Advocacy Campaign and Communication Manager OXFAM in Bangladesh and eminent writer & researcher of taxation Mr. Shahjahan Siddiqui were present as special guests. In this event members and representatives of different civil society organizations, donors & development organizations, SUPRO national committee members, District committee members, representatives of different anti-tobacco alliances and journalists & media personalities were present at the occasion.

National Pre-Budget Press Conference 2018-2019 of SUPRO

“Have to ensure good governance at all levels for inclusive and sustainable development” with this purview a Press Conference has organized by SUPRO on the eve of the next financial year 2018-2019 held on 9th May 2018 at Roundtable Auditorium, Dhaka Reporters Unity, Dhaka. The press conference is presided over by Manju Rani Pramanik, Vice Chairperson of SUPRO. The press conference moderated by M A Quader, General Secretary of SUPRO. Md.
