The main objectives of those mobilizations were to strengthen district activist’s capacity that the local NGO and civil society leader can mobilize themselves in various issues for establishing their human rights, justice and even against deprivation. As a result, we found many success instances of mobilization since then in districts level. District committee leaders with civil society made mobilization and protest on land grabbing, tackle bad effect of climate change, human rights violation issues, which’s were not the regular campaign activity of SUPRO.

To strengthen these activities and capacities, SUPRO took initiatives in August 2009 to implement local issue mobilization activities in districts level and primarily selected some issues like human rights violation, environment preservation, violation against women, deprivation on health & education, best utilization ways of local resources, small and medium entrepreneurship development etc for local mobilization. Different districts performed their mobilization on those issues.

The objectives of that local mobilization were to-

(a)    Sensitize and buildup public opinion on different local issues, which are not SUPRO’s regular mobilization activity part
(b)    Make mobilization for establishing people’s rights on that issues and
(c)    Draw attention to policy makers for minimizing the problems

To get success on local issue mobilization, SUPRO district secretary of Khulna, Bagerhat, Narail, Jessore, Jhenaidah, Chuadanga, Tangail, Rajbari, Faridpur, Shariatpur, Jamalpur, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Bogra, Dinajpur, Joypurhat, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Nator, Chapainawabgonj, Nilphamari, Pabna, Rangpur, Sirajgonj, Thakurgaon, Sylhet, Moulovibazar, Sunamgonj, Chattagong, Brahmanbaria, Comilla, Noakhali, Rangamati, Laxmipur, Borguna, Barisal, Patuakhali and Pirojpur districts sat with district committee.
