SUPRO District Leaders Participated in an Orientation workshop
Nationwide Programs during 10-16 April against Global Trade Injustice
21-24th March 2005, Manikgonj.SUPRO leaders of 45 districts met in a workshop in HRDC training center here in two batches, each batch for two days. They have had discussed the impact of neo  liberal economics in developing countries and especially in Bangladesh.
Participants have chalked out programs in their districts aiming to promote awareness on the impact of so called “free market” economy and of their agents and also to protest against the institutions who are promoting these, especially the international financial institutions. Civil society and poor people will be organized to express solidarity and to say no to the privatization of service sectors especially of water, health and education. Individual district wise programs, the name of the organizations and the leaders who will organize the programs are being mentioned here with there contact address.Apart from these SUPRO will organize two seminars in Dhaka one on “Corporate Governance: Mobile Phone and Gas Sector” and “Poverty Reduction Strategies: Role of IFIs” in collaboration with Citizen Rights Alliances and with Weekly 2000. There will be press conference and rallies in Dhaka along with core committee members of observing global week of action. SUPRO and committee are being publishing different posters and leaflet in this regard.
