"External Debt, MDGs & Essential Services in Bangladesh", a study report on debt situation in Bangladesh. External debt situation of Bangladesh undermines basic human rights of the people and prevent access to essential services. Over the last several years Bangladesh is spending more on external debt servicing than on education and health. As a result the allocation of budget in education and health sector is decreasing day by day. This situation is threat for development and it is contradictory with our constitutional commitment. The study report will bring opportunity to citizens groups, NGOs and policy makers for taking positions to demand unconditional cancellation of debt of Bangladesh for sustainable development and to achieve MDGs let alone ending poverty.
